Backyard Football League Australia

Welcome to backyardfootyaustralia.com the home of the Backyard Football League of Australia. Established in 2007 at Jamestown in South Australia, Backyard Footy promotes participation in Australian Rules Football at a social level for people aged between 17 and 39 and who don't play regular football. Our main goal is for everyone to participate and have fun. Our rules of eligibility are available on our special rules page. Backyard Footy is a volunteer organisation, who have received significant help from our local rural comunities here in SA's Mid North, in addition to Mission Australia and PIRSA

BFLA has been lucky enough to be awarded the runner up title and a grant of $5000 as part of ABC grandstand & FRRR's Me Change awards.For the full ABC article simply click here.

Backyard Footy's first ever State Match at Collingwood's Victoria Park, proved to be one sided as Reclink representing Victoria enjoyed a lop sided victory against BFLA representing South Australia.

Backyard Football League Australia would like to congratulate our partron, Barrie Robran MBE on being elevated to legend status in the South Australian Sporting Hall of Fame.
Barrie joins such legends as Sir Donald Bradman and Bart Cummings in receiving such an honour.
Barrie is also a legend in the Australian Football Hall of Fame, the only South Australian to be awarded such an honour.
Barrie has not only been a true champion on the sporting field, but he is also a true champion off of it.
