Appila Prison Bars vs Pekina Dunnies |

Backyard Footy's Grass Roots feature match saw the Appila Prison Bars, sporting the
famous Port Adelaide guernsey, tackle the Pekina Dunnies, wearing the Red and
White of North Adelaide as made famous by Pekina's Michael Redden. Pekina bolted out of the gate, with Lachie Seddon, Pete Matheson and Booga Price featuring heavily in the early stages. For the Prison Bars, Ben Ritchie was proving to be a handful as was Darren Keatley and Damien "Pee Wee" Clarke. Eddie Catford was playing well as Mr Consistent, for the Dunnies, shutting Chris Catford right out of the match. Clearly the moment of the match, was a snap for a terrific goal from Cameron "Strauchanie" Hill, which was duly followed by John Aloisi like celebrations. The crowd were ecstatic, but clearly not as much as Strachanie! Just when the game appeared to be out of the Prison Bars reach, inconsistencies appeared around the scoreboard. However the winner was football, with the final result being if you are from Appila you won and if you are from Pekina, you won! |
