Stone Hut Pies vs Southern Blues |

Cameron Edson's Stone Hut Pies narrowly edged out Vicky Renshaw's Southern Blues,
in the second thriller of the day. Edson commented that his team did a terrific
job in shutting out Downlow medallist Dean Lawler, with Tagger Warren Heinjus
wearing him like a glove. Whilst Vicky Renshaw was trying to work out if it was
a good or bad thing to have injured captian Rodney Hammat beside her on the bench. The match proved to be a see-sawing affair for most of the day, with some great individual efforts from players of each club. Pies captain Matt Kuzub worked hard all day, as did Andrew Trott on the wing and star backman "Basher" Prior. Meanwhile for the Blues, Robert Jacka and Shawn Callaghan controlled things across half back, with Trevor "TW" Schultz providing a target at Centre Half Forward. Unfortunately for the Blues, they are still yet to taste their first victory, whilst the Pies are now the proud owners of a 100% winning record. Something coach Edson was proudly pointing out to his Assistant Ian "Chook" Harslett. Harslett has also become the first non-player in BFLA history to register a kick on the stats sheet! |
