Mundunnie Hill Dunnies made their debut against the Northern Roosters in the final match of the day. Led by acting captain Chris Kuchel, the Dunnies were wayward in front of goal early, proving to be costly as the Roosters nailed the big sticks. Jamie Spooner worked well up forward for the Roosters, alongside stars Robert Butterick and Matt Pammenter.

Even a brave move by Dunnies coach Jason Longbottom, of sacrificing star ruckman Ben Sommerville to full back failed to halt the Roosters. Matt Semler and Cam Hill shared some 64 pocessions between them in the midfield to be the best for the Dunnies. However a dominant match in the ruck by Xavier Luchessi, working well with Pete "Flash Jnr" Matheson simply set the Roosters up for a dominant display.

Acting Roosters captain Matt Pammenter, known as the Stewart Loewe of the BLFA was particularly rapt. "It was a huge win, considering our captain and star midfielder Nigel Bottrall was out injured." Dunnies acting captain Chris Kuchel was happy with the team's second half and was looking forward to the upcoming Booborowie match.
