In a further expansion, the Browns Hill Bays become the newest Backyard Footy Men's team. Rumours that Mark "Choco" Williams will front as the new coach are yet to be confirmed, as are rumours of a trial match against the Gold Coast Suns. Nigel "Butch" Bottrall has been appointed as the inaugural coach, while John Helbig takes the reigns at Mundunnie Hill. Craig Thompson takes over the reigns of the Roosters, with former captain Rodney Hammat moving in to the coaching box at the Southern Blues.
